Professional Boxer Anthony Ogogo Confirmed For Strictly Come Dancing

 Anthony Ogogo is the ninth contestant signed up to this year's Strictly Come Dancing competition. The professional boxer is currently recovering from a shoulder operation which means he can't return to boxing until the end of year. This has left him with some free time and the 2012 Olympic bronze medallist is delighted to take up a new challenge. Anthony is the ninth contestant confirmed for this year's show Speaking about SCD, he said: "I’ve faced a lot of tough opposition in the past, but I’ve never faced anyone as tough as the Strictly judges before!" "My Mum is a massive fan of the show so I will be trying my hardest to make her proud". Yesterday it was revealed that our very own Daniel O'Donnell would be joining the show alongside  Katie Derham, Kellie Bright, Georgia May Foote, Ainsley Harriott, Carol Kirkwood, Peter Andre and Jeremy Vine on the dance floor. Former Corrie star Georgia May Foote is also set to compete The show launches on Saturday, September 5th and the actual competition will begin soon after.
