Reality Star Files For Bankruptcy For Second Time In Five Years

Just when things looked to be on the up for Kerry Katona, the singer-turned-reality-star files for bankruptcy.

The former Atomic Kitten star reportedly made a petition under the name Kerry Jane Elizabeth Katona at Wigan County Court yesterday.

Kerry, who recently got engaged, appeared to have turned her life and bank balance around with appearances on both Celebrity Big Brother and The Big Reunion.

 

Kerry looked to be getting things back on track both personally and professionally.

But now the mother-of-four has filed for bankruptcy and been dropped as the face of cash lending company Cash Lady.

A spokesperson for them told the Daily Mail: “We were sorry to hear about Kerry’s current financial situation.... it is with sadness that we will not be able to continue using Kerry as the face of Cash Lady”.

It’s not the first time the 32-year-old has filed for bankruptcy. In 2008 she did the same due to an unpaid tax bill.

She has now been dropped as the face of Cash Lady. 

And while she hasn’t spoken out directly about her most recent financial difficulties, Kerry was on Twitter yesterday morning.

She wrote: “Morning twitter! Hold your head high and be proud, never be ashamed! Always try your best and believe in yourself! Have a great day... No matter what life throws at you, hold your head high and know you’ve done your best!! :-) xxxx”.
