The resort where Harry and Meghan are reportedly honeymooning looks incredible

The countdown to the royal wedding is on.

It's 31 days until Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tie the knot in Windsor and speculation is building around every aspect of the couples' plans for the big day. What they might be looking forward to most of all could be the honeymoon, though - it's reported that the newlyweds will head to Africa after they marry. A source told Travel + Leisure magazine that they'll be jetting off to Namibia. The country is an ideal choice for a royal couple wanting total privacy. Many resorts in the country are so remote that they're only accessible by charter plane and the country has a vey low population density, meaning Harry and Meghan aren't likely to be bothered by too many people there. It's thought that the pair will be staying at the Natural Selection Hoanib Valley Camp, a luxury safari resort in the north-west of the country. "The area is a melee of towering mountains, sand dunes, and huge expanses of desert, scattered with unique wildlife and nomadic Himba settlements," the Natural Selection website states. "It’s also one of Namibia’s most remote and wild environments, and one that not many will get the chance to discover in a lifetime." It consists of just six accommodations and hasn't even opened yet - it's due to welcome its first guests next month. As it's so new, there are few images of the camp available yet but if it's anything like the other Natural Selection resorts in Africa, it will be stunning. The resort puts a big emphasis on sustainability and local tradition. "You’ll find furniture shaped by the local Rundu carpenters and Himba carvers, and baskets weaved by the people of the Omba Project in Windhoek. "The whole camp is a clean and green sort of place, leaving virtually no footprint on this fragile eco-system. It’s entirely solar powered to ensure carbon emissions are kept to a minimum, and the tents sit on decks made of a wood, bamboo and 70 per cent recycled-material composite." As you can imagine, staying at resort isn't cheap. For the time of year that the royal couple are staying, rooms start at 7,750 Namibian dollars (€522) a night and go up to 9,000 NAD (€606) depending on the package. It won't be the first time Meghan and Harry have traveled to Africa to get away from it all - they were in Botswana last year. The couple stayed a similar resort there to celebrate Meghan's 36th birthday in August. "Harry had booked a £650-a-night tented suite with a carved wooden king-size bed and open-air shower," wrote Katie Nicholl in her book, Harry: Life, Loss, and Love. "They slept under the stars and enjoyed their meals al fresco. From their veranda they could see zebra cooling themselves in the nearby watering hole and other wild animals at close quarters."
