The founding member of Three 6 Mafia, Ricky "Lord Infamous" Dunigan, was found dead on Friday. We was 40 years of age.
"He did pass away at his mothers house last night in Memphis," publicist Dove Clark told HipHopDX in an interview on Sunday.
"The cause of death is unknown. We're actually trying to figure out how he died and that is all the information we currently have", he added.
Fellow Three 6 Mafia member DJ Paul told The Hollywood Reporter: "He passed away in his sleep from a heart attack. He said he was tired, he wanted to sleep. He sat down at the kitchen table, put his head in his arms to lay down ... to get some sleep."
Three 6 Mafia formed back in the mid-90s, but came to widespread public attention in 2006, when they won Best Original Song for "It's Hard out Here for a Pimp" at the 78th Academy Awards.
