Rob Kearney and Jess Redden arrive at wedding venue ahead of big day today

Ellen Fitzpatrick

It’s the big day.

After nearly two years engaged and a year of pushing back a wedding, Rob Kearney and Jess Redden are finally heading down the aisle.

The pair headed off to their wedding venue on Thursday ahead of the big day today, and Jess clearly hasn’t been able to keep the smile off her face all week.

Sharing updates throughout the week, she’s gotten all the last minute details covered, with her wedding jewellery sorted, the nails complete and the last of the alterations underway.

Beginning their wedding celebrations yesterday, the happy couple headed to the undisclosed venue with Jess’s mum, with Jess wearing a figure-hugging white halter neck jumpsuit to fit the theme of the week.

Telling her followers “bye for now”, Jess shared a snap of her, her mum and Rob as they spent one last day together before saying “I do”.

The couple has been together for eight years, with Rob popping the question in New York on New Year’s Eve in 2019.

Initially planning to get hitched in June of this year, they brought the wedding forward to November of 2020 when Jess’s father fell ill.

Unfortunately, he passed away in September of that year and wedding plans were put on hold.

Speaking to RSVP at the time., Jess said: “We were going to get married originally on the June Bank Holiday of this year (2021). We were lucky in the sense that we didn’t put any kind of deposits on things down, we just had things loosely booked like the venue, photographer, cake, little things like that, but no deposits down.

“Then, when Dad got sick we ended up moving it to November so that he could come obviously, but then he passed away in September. So then we just kind of put a pin in it and I haven’t really thought too much about it since then.”
