Robbie Williams is going to be replaced on the X Factor this weekend

“He is a music legend so viewers will be in for a treat.”

The X Factor’s Robbie Williams is going to be missing from this Sunday’s show – with Chic’s Nile Rodgers taking his place, instead.

The Angels hitmaker is one of the three new judges for this year, alongside his wife, Ayda Field, and former One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson.

And despite losing one of his four acts during last weekend’s live shows, Robbie will reportedly only be in studio for one of this weekend’s episodes.

On Sunday night, he will be in South America as part of his prearranged tour – which means that Nile Rodgers will be taking a seat at the judging table.

He will be looking after the groups on the evening and, ultimately, cast a vote on who should stay and who should go.

A TV source told The Sun

“Robbie was originally due to be off this Saturday as well but ITV have agreed a pre-record X Factor earlier in the evening so it means Robbie can do the show then get a late flight to Chile.

“The show will air ‘as live’ in its usual slot.

“Nile is a music legend so viewers will be in for a treat.”

It isn’t the guitarist’s first appearance on this series, either.

He previously appeared during the Judges’ Houses segment, as he joined Liam Payne to help Louis Tomlinson pick the singers for the boys category.
