Robert De Niro and Grace Hightower split after 21 years of marriage

Robert De Niro and Grace Hightower have decided to part ways.

In news that broke last night, it looks like the pair are no longer living together with multiple publications stating that the 75-year-old actor is living separately to his wife and seven-year-old daughter, Helen, as they go through the process of separation. Robert De Niro and Grace Hightower were married for 21 years, having walked down the aisle in 1997. Welcoming their first child together in 1998, Elliot, the pair enjoyed wedded bliss before hitting a speed bump in 1999 which almost caused the pair to separate.

Filing for divorce in 1999, Robert took Grace to court in a bitter battle where he sued for custody over Elliot but in a drastic turn of events, the pair reconciled and the divorce wasn't even processed. Since then, Robert and Grace have appeared happily married, renewing their vows in 2004, attending various red carpet events together and welcoming their second child, Helen, via surrogate in 2011. But now it looks like it could be the end of an era for the pair who have reportedly split in the past couple of weeks. Neither Robert or Grace has yet to make a comment.
