Rosanna Jokes With Twitter Followers As She Becomes The First Irish Woman to Grace the Cover of Playboy (NSFW)!

Rosanna Davison became the first Irish woman in history to grace the cover of Playboy and the model joked about her topless appearance in the infamous raunchy mag.

The model nabbed the cover of the latest German edition of the magazine as she posed on a Mauritius beach in a series of questionable bikini bottoms and some shameful tan lines.

The photographs have gone viral in the past 24 hours and Rosanna joked with her Twitter followers about the appearance within the glossy pages.

“7.15am in New York, just woke up. Ever have one of those vivid dreams where you find yourself stark naked in public,” she teased.

There’s no questioning that Rosanna has an amazing body, but we’re not really sure about the styling of this shoot, especially the dodgy tribal necklace the model is sporting on the cover and we won’t even go into the snakeskin bikini bottoms.

Irish model Georgia Salpa congratulated her friend on her success.

"Congratulations to @rosanna_davison first Irish girl on the cover of @playboy #hottie," she wrote

The model is believed to have pocketed a huge six-figure sum for the shoot and speaking to The Irish Times, Rosanna said she thought hard before agreeing to appear on the mag.

“I thought long and hard about my decision.

“I was assured I would have full control over every aspect of the shoot, from the styling to the location, to what I wanted to be retouched and what I didn’t want to be changed.

“I didn’t think I was in a position where I could be exploited. And I just thought, God, I’m 28 – well, I was 27 at the time – and I’m not getting any younger. What’s the point in doing things that are predictable all of the time?”

“I felt a responsibility towards other women and I did wonder whether it was the right thing to do . . . I felt like it was more of a celebration of a woman’s body – it’s nothing to be embarrassed about, nothing to hide,” she said.

In another shot, Rosanna poses in a pirate-esque leather bikini bottom with what appears to be strands of fishing net adorning her neck.

When asked what her father Chris DeBurgh thought of the pictures, the former Miss World said: “I don’t know . . . I mean, I’m sure he’s seen them. He was very supportive, but I haven’t sat down with the magazine and asked which are his favourites,” she said.

Although we can’t deny that Rosanna is looking gorgeous, we are not a fan of her obvious tan-lines, which we would never be caught dead flaunting (not that we’ll be asked to do the cover of Playboy any time soon).
