A key difference between Meghan Markle and Duchess Kate.

Last night, both Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton attended a birthday dinner for their father-in-law, Prince Charles, who turned 70 yesterday. Much was made of the fact that both women opted for similar up styles and statement earrings and yes, at first glance, it does look as though they decided on similar looks as a formal occasion of the sort might dictate.

However, as one royal expert has pointed out, there is a difference between the two women and it's one you probably haven't noticed. Camilla Tominey was interviewed by Kate Thornton for Yahoo series The Royal Box and chatted about observations she has made regarding both Meghan and Kate. Associate editor for The Telegraph covering royals and politics, Camilla discussed the fact that Meghan is a lot more comfortable with public speaking in comparison to Kate but of course, this is completely understandable given her acting background. Camilla said that she has "huge respect" for Kate Middleton but that she lacks confidence when it comes to talking at official engagements etc

"As modern women, we can’t have the Duchesses of Cambridge or Sussex as princesses who are seen and not heard".

The established presenter and broadcaster then went on to say that as Kate is likely to be a "future queen", public speaking will become more and more important. By contrast, Camilla notes that Meghan has put herself "out there" since she officially joined the royal family. Camilla also says that Kate has a lot to offer and we completely agree but in fairness, one has to remember that she doesn't have the same experience that Meghan has and key difference or not, this should be taken into consideration.
