A royal insider has revealed the truth behind Meghan and Kate's rumoured feud
There have been rumours of a feud between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton for months.
It all began when it was revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are going to be moving out of Kengisnton Palace, with the news followed by reports Kate was left "in tears" after a fitting for Princess Charlotte's bridesmaid's dress.
Since then, there were multiple reports of friction between the two duchesses before the feud was said to have been put to rest thanks to Prince Charles.
Royal correspondent Katie Nicholl told Glamour that she had never heard about the duchesses falling out with each other or actually feuding.
"I had heard about an upset over the dress fitting for Princess Charlotte. And I had heard that while Harry was very keen for the two of them to become best friends, there was never that sort of a friendship.
"They quite quickly realized they were two pretty mature women—quite different women—and really the only thing they had in common was they'd married princes. Not just Prince Harry, I think probably the world wanted them to become best friends."
But Nicholl admitted that she does believe there to be "some truth" that there was tension between Meghan and Kate - as well Prince Harry and Prince William.
"As we all know, things can gather momentum pretty quickly. So while I think there's been tension, I don't believe there has been some feud."
Nicholl said that it is believed the duchesses made "an agreement to get along" and put on a united front in public.
"I do know that Meghan and Kate have come to an agreement to get along, to make an effort, to be amiable and warm toward each other in public.
"They both realize it's in neither of their interests to have these catfight headlines. It's not what either of them want."
