Royal insider reveals the Queen wasn’t happy with Meghan’s wedding dress for one reason

Apparently, the Queen wasn’t best pleased with Meghan’s wedding dress.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle married in May 2019 with the former Suits star wearing a Givenchy design for the ceremony.

The dress received some criticism with some saying that the boat-necked design was ill-fitting and it was described as “‘too simple” by others, a little harsh to be fair.

However, it turns out that there was another criticism coming directly from the Queen herself who reportedly “expressed surprise” that Meghan chose a white dress.

The 37-year-old was previously married to TV producer Trevor Engelson for two years and as she is divorced, the Queen wasn’t expecting her to wear white.

Sorry, what? Turns out Harry got a glimpse at Meghan's wedding look before their big day

Now to be honest we’re of the opinion that she should wear whatever she wants but as royal fans may be aware, there’s a lot of protocol behind the scenes.

Palace insiders have gone one step further too and Meghan’s everyday style has been criticised too with a source from a fashion team who visited Kensington Palace revealing that she’s been told to change things up.

Speaking to The Mail on Sunday, the insider said:

“Meghan is being told she needs to start dressing less like a Hollywood star and more like a Royal”.

Yikes.

As those who follow Meghan’s daily goings-on may be aware, she regularly wears black, a colour that the royal family tend to only wear when in mourning.

A wardrobe without black, we couldn’t imagine that.

We have been loving Meghan’s style of late and hope that she continues to put her own stamp on her outfits because fashion is where you can express your personality after all.
