Roz Purcell is getting married this year

Roz has been incredibly laid back about her upcoming celebration, which is the attitude we all want to have, but she has admitted she needs to get organised with just a few months to go.

Roz confirmed that she and her partner, Zach Desmond, will have an intimate celebration in May.

She told The Irish Sun:

“We wanted to do it in Ireland, so people wouldn’t have to feel like they had to fly to another country or take up too much of their holiday time to spend the day with us and celebrate.”

“And we’re kind of anti-gifts and all that, because we just don’t need anything, and we’d rather people just be able to not put themselves under pressure.”

In an exclusive interview with Her.ie, Roz, previously opened up about her hopes for her big day.

She knew she always wanted to get married in Ireland.

"I'm really conscious of not putting people out. I don't really want people to have to travel far.

Roz added, "I also just love Ireland and can already imagine my wedding photos with an Irish backdrop. I feel like there's so much less stress involved because you're not flying somewhere or organising something far away."

"I know Ireland so well, and the only thing I want to do is make sure that, whatever kind of wedding we have, the next day I can give people a full itinerary of things to do wherever we are, so everyone can have one big holiday.

"I feel like in Ireland you expect rain, so if you do get sunshine, then it's the best day ever. It'll be the best day ever anyway, but if it's sunny, then it's just the cherry on top," Roz added.

Roz and her partner Zach announced their engagement in 2023. The couple has been together since 2016.
