RTÉ issue statement about tonight’s Late Late Show after Greg and Amber ‘split’

Keeley Ryan

RTÉ have issued a statement about tonight’s Late Late Show lineup amid reports that Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea have broken up.

The Love Island winners had been due to appear on tonight’s show, alongside their co-star Maura Higgins.

However, fans had been wondering if this would still be the case – given the reports earlier this afternoon that the couple had called it quits.

When Her contacted RTÉ about tonight’s Late Late Show, a spokesperson said:

“The Love Island slot is in the first part of tonight’s show and we won’t be commenting further on tonight’s line-up at this time.”

It comes as an insider told The Sun that the Love Island 2019 winners had split – with the rugby player said to have ended their relationship by text.

They said:

“Greg has broken up with Amber and is blaming their busy schedules and now they want to focus on their careers.

“Amber feels used by Greg. He was always aware of the distance and his career in their relationship, and yet he chose to seek out Amber in the villa knowing there would always be the distance.

“He hasn’t made any effort to come to London to see Amber, despite it being over five weeks, it’s always Amber who had to make the effort.”

  • The Late Late Show goes live at 09.35pm tonight on RTÉ One.
