Fair play.

Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome have welcome their first child, a baby girl.

The couple, who are best known for their roles in Harry Potter and Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging respectively, confirmed that they were expecting one month ago.

A representative stated last night that Grint and Groome were “delighted to confirm the birth of their baby girl.

“We would please ask that you respect their privacy at this very special time.”

The couple, who have seemingly been together since 2011, confirmed that they were expecting their first child just four weeks ago after Groome was pictured out in London.

The pair are believed to have been dating for almost a decade, although their relationship was only confirmed a few years ago.

Grint, who played Ron Weasley in the wildly successful Harry Potter franchise, generally enjoys keeping his personal life personal. He did, however, tell the Guardian in 2018 that he was hoping to become a father “soon.”

“Turning 30 felt strange,” he said. “It just doesn’t feel like I’m there yet and I don’t know what the future holds.

“I’m just going to go with the flow, keep playing interesting characters, and see what happens. I’d like to settle down and have kids soon.”

The actor added that although he thinks ‘Ron’ is a good solid name, he doesn’t plan on calling any of his own children by it.

“If I had a son, would I call him Ron?” he said. “It’s quite a good name, but probably not. And Grint’s a tough name to pair a one-syllable first name with.”

Groome secured her big break back in 2008 when she starred in the iconic teen drama, Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging alongside Aaron Johnson.

She has also appeared in London to Brighton and The Disappeared.
