Ryan Reynolds shares the 'greatest present' Blake Lively ever got him

"If there’s ever a fire, I’m grabbing this first. I’ll come back for Blake."

Ryan Reynolds has revealed the "greatest present" Blake Lively ever game him - and honestly, it is too cute.

Earlier this week, the actor took to Instagram to share a photo of the painting, created by American artist Danny Galieote, with featured so many nods to Reynolds' childhood.

"My first job was delivering newspapers for the Vancouver Sun," the Canadian actor began. "The house in the painting is my childhood home."

He recalled:

"My brothers and I spent years trying to kill each other on that lawn. There are a lot of Easter eggs in the painting, including my idol, John Candy on the front page of the newspaper.

"The house no longer stands but it’s a living, breathing thing in my head.

"This piece of art is the greatest present my wife has ever given me. It was created by @dannygalieote."

It's not totally clear when the actor received the treasured painting - his birthday is in October, and the couple's wedding anniversary is next month - but it's clear that he absolutely adores it.

So much so, that he ended the caption with a teasing note for his wife.

"If there’s ever a fire, I’m grabbing this first. I’ll come back for Blake," he joked.

Lively and Reynolds announced in May this year that they were expecting their third child together.

They have two daughters, four-year-old James and two-and-a-half-year-old Inez.
