Dancing On Ice and X Factor star Saara Aalto has apparently been offered a place in the Spice Girls.
Saaara said that Mel C asked her to join the iconic band, to replace Victoria Beckham.
She told The Sun:
“They want to have a fifth member for the tour. I was like, ‘Is this a real question?’ It’s insane.”
Apparently the offer came after Mel C went to watch Saara Aalto perform in Finland.
Saara asked Melanie if she could be the sixth member of the band, jokingly.
Mel C replied:
“You can be the fifth one if you want. Well, there’s always room for another great singer. I can say that.”
On that chat Saara added: “She said there’s room for someone who can really sing. I just thought it was incredible she said that.”
This news comes after it was revealed that the band turned down $80 million to tour America.
“The UK shows will be massive and very special so they are apprehensive about doing more in the US because they know from experience how long stints together on the road can cause tensions.”
“They all have families who they need to consider, they aren’t single women who can drop everything and go.”
“And in terms of new music as a group, they are all in various stages of relaunching their solo careers, which makes it very unlikely.”
