Popstar Sabrina Carpenter has reportedly opened up about her relationship with Barry Keoghan on her new album, Man's Best Friend.
Fans have been raving about the album, which dropped today, but have noticed some lyrics that hint at Carpenter's relationship with the Irish actor.
Many fans think the song Goodbye is about the famous pair's relationship.
The infectious track hints that Keoghan was the one to call things off.
In Goodbye, Carpenter sings: “Broke my heart on Saturday, guess overnight, your feelings changed.
“And I have cried so much I almost fainted.
“To show you just how much it hurts, I wish I had a gun or words."
She continues, "Goodbye means that you're losing me for life. Can't call it love, then call it quits. Can’t shoot me down, then shoot the s**t.
“Did you forget that it was you who said goodbye? So you don't get to be the one who cries. Can't have your cake and eat it too, by walking out, that means you choose goodbye.”
Keoghan and the Grammy winner ended their relationship last December after a year together.
Insiders claimed that Keoghan's party lifestyle drove a wedge between the pair.
An insider revealed to The Sun that the singer wants to focus on her career rather than worrying about his antics.
“He has always been a party animal, and Sabrina, 25, was fed up with his antics. She is soaring in the charts and is putting herself first as she gears up for her tour next month,” the source said.
The couple first met in September 2023 but made their official debut at the Met Gala in 2024.
