Sam Asghari breaks silence on Britney Spears divorce rumours

Sam Asghari has broken his silence since his reported split from Britney Spears following one year of marriage.

It was reported earlier this week that the couple had decided to file for divorce after one year, according to TMZ. The publication revealed that Sam confronted Britney over rumours that she claimed she had been unfaithful in their marriage and it led to a massive argument. TMZ then reported that Sam had filed paperwork to then legally separate from the singer on August 16th after 14 months of marriage. The actor is said to have listed the date of separation as July 28th, 2023 and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. He wrote: "After 6 years of love and commitment to each other, my wife and I have decided to end our journey together. “We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other, and I wish her the best always. “S**t happens. Asking for privacy seems ridiculous, so I will just ask for everyone including media to be kind and thoughtful.”
