We’re pretty used to seeing celebrities and their lavish Christmas celebrations on social media – but not everyone likes to go all out for the occasion.
Sam Faiers has revealed that she didn’t get her two children anything for Christmas this year.
The reality star is determined that her three-year-old son Paul and ten-month-old daughter Rosie grow up appreciating what they have.
“This year, the money I would have spent on Rosie and Paul I’m actually going to donate to charity,” she told Closer magazine before Christmas.
“My kids are so fortunate – they get everything they want and brands are always gifting them things.”
“You have to make sure they don’t expect that all the time.
“I’m not about giving them hundreds of presents – I want them to grow up appreciating what they have.”
Fair play for not wanting to spoil the children and for giving to charity, but is not giving them anything taking it a bit too far?
Still, Sam and the family didn’t exactly have a quiet Christmas.
She, her partner Paul Knightley and the kids spent the festive season on holiday in the Maldives, where they were joined by her mum Suzie.
