“It’s not up to me at all.”

Sam Thompson has opened up about the future of the official Love Island podcast, The Morning After.

The Made In Chelsea star hosts the podcast alongside Indiyah Polack, who starred on the 2022 series of the ITV show.

Speaking exclusively to Her, Sam revealed that he is unsure if the podcast will be going ahead for next season and that the decision is out of his control.

“It’s not up to me at all,” Sam said.

“The reason I say ‘I don’t know’ is the hours, I do my radio show and my podcast, my own work that I do as well. I run two businesses as well and I’ve got my social stuff that I do, fitting it in is tough.

“With all that said, if I got offered it again I don’t think I could say no. A huge part of this goes down to Indiyah.”

Sam and Indiyah did a screen test ahead of their hosting duties to ensure they would be a good fit together, and clearly, it was a massive success.

“Neither of us knew it was a chemistry test and we just hit it off. We’ve done 51 recordings, you couldn’t do that with someone you don’t want to work with. Regardless of how much I love Love Island, if I didn’t get on with my co-host I wouldn’t do it, it’s not worth it.

“She is the nicest person, she’s a friend for life. We just vibe off each other so much – I absolutely love her. I think she’s going to have a really big career.”

Sam is currently working as an ambassador for Oreo to celebrate the partnership with Xbox. While Love Island is one of his biggest passions, as I spoke to Sam about this campaign, it was immediately clear that OREOs were definitely a close second.

“Let me tell you a little something, I have done many things in my time in this industry but to work with two brands that I absolutely love is an absolute dream. Oreo and Xbox? I’m a huge gamer and I love Oreos. So is my Mrs, we’re big cookie fans anyway, we have jars all around the gaff like in The Kardashians. We have an Oreo jar. When you’re a fan of something, you almost feel unworthy. It’s just a great idea.”

Sam is leading a dunking revolution as he marks the iconic partnership between OREO and Xbox, see him take on the OREO Big Dunk challenge here.
