Ellen Fitzpatrick

The documentary aired last night.

Sam Thompson has opened up about filming his new documentary Sam Thompson: Is This ADHD? and the biggest challenges he faced while doing so.

The documentary follows the reality star on a journey of self-discovery as he describes as the one of the most “vulnerable” projects he has ever done.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Sam looked back on the time spent filming his and reflected on his ADHD diagnosis.

When it came to what the most “challenging” part of filming was, Sam said: “The hardest thing for me was acknowledging how it’s impacting the people I love around me. My girlfriend Zara is a constant support to me, and I’ve always known she goes above and beyond. I’m really terrible at general life admin and Zara helps me with everyday things like booking travel and reminding me of where I need to be.

“But there’s a moment in the documentary where Zara has the space to let me know that it can actually be frustrating for her. And although that was the most challenging moment, it also just helped the penny drop a bit, you know, realise that Zara shouldn’t have to be doing that, but she does because she loves me.”
