“Feeling loved and grateful”
Actress and West End star Samantha Womack has given an update after being diagnosed with breast cancer.
The actress confirmed she underwent surgery this month.
Samantha told her Instagram followers that she is currently recovering from her operation at home.
“Recuperating after breast cancer op.
“My love makes me turmeric and ginger in the morning and homemade butternut squash soup in the evening.”
“Feeling loved and grateful,” the actress added.
Her followers showered her with loving messages after her post.
“Sending you massive love,” Denise van Outen wrote.
Tamzin Outhwaite added, “Sending lots of love and positive energy.”

One woman also shared advice with the actress. She told the actress to buy a heart-shaped pillow to put under her armpit.
The woman, who also had cancer, said it helped her a lot during her treatment.
“It really helped as it can be a bit sore after you have had lump nodes removed.”
The EastEnders actress revealed her breast cancer diagnosis following the death of Olivia Newton-John.
Womack penned a touching tribute to the late Grease actress.
Alongside the tribute, Womack revealed she was also diagnosed with breast cancer.
Posting a photo of the moment she met Olivia Newton-John in London, Womack said she felt “deeply moved” after the actress died.
“This was the most magical of evenings.
“Olivia and Chloe had come to see Grease in London and we had dinner together afterward.
“I was so excited and in awe, she was my childhood.”
“I now start my own battle with this disease.
Samantha added, “I am left feeling deeply moved.”
