Sandra Oh on the reason why she won’t be returning to Grey’s Anatomy

Guess that settles it, so.

Things on Grey’s Anatomy haven’t quite been the same ever since Dr. Cristina Yang left Grey Sloan Memorial.

Sandra Oh, who had been on the show since the beginning, left the long-running medical drama back in 2014 to focus on other areas of her career.

The 47-year-old now stars as Eve on the BBC’s Killing Eve – but Grey’s fans have still been keeping their fingers crossed that they may see Cristina back on screen, even if only for a cameo.

However, the actress has now clarified that this won’t be the case – and for a very understandable reason why.

Walking the red carpet for the season two premiere of Killing Eve in Hollywood on MondayOh told Extra

“You know, I gotta tell you, you guys keep on asking me that question.

“I just got to tell you, creatively you have moved on and while I know, and I deeply appreciate it, because I can feel it from the fans how much they love Cristina and that the show also still keeps Cristina alive, for me, [Killing Eve] is my home now.

“This is where I am.

“I am Eve and that’s where I plan to stay as long as the show will have me. And that’s really where I want to be.”

Guess that settles it once and for all.
