She explained the family connection to her baby boy’s name.
After welcoming her first child with her partner Tarek El Moussa, Selling Sunset Star Heather Rae Young has shared the moniker for her son.
The celebrity realtor decided to name him Tristan Jay El Moussa.
In an interview with US Weekly, she explained the special meaning behind the name.
“Tarek was supposed to be named Tristan, and his parents ended up naming him Tarek. And then my dad’s middle name is Jay. So it’s four generations of the middle name Jay.”
Tristan is Heather’s first child, though she is a step-mother to Tarek’s two children from a previous relationship, Taylor and Brayden.

Heather gave birth at the end of January, and announced the news with a post on Instagram.
In her caption, she wrote: “Our baby boy is here (1.31.23).
“Mama & baby are happy, healthy, tired, but doing well. Our hearts are so happy.”

More recently, she wrote about how she’s adjusting to life with a newborn.
“Soaking in all of the sweet and precious moments with our baby boy,” she wrote on Instagram. “Adjusting to newborn mommyhood and staying in our happy, private little bubble until we’re ready to share him with the world. Writing down all the moments that I never want to forget in the first week and a half of being a mommy and focusing on being present.”

On Valentine’s Day, she said that she’s definitely feeling the love as a new mother.
“It’s love week and we’re definitely feeling it over here,” she said. “Lots and lots of kissing, snuggling, skin on skin, and holding our lover boy… we can’t get enough.”
