We’re not exaggerating… they’re probably the best combination of genes to ever pool in the celebrity world.

Lord of the Rings star Orlando Bloom and his supermodel wife Miranda Kerr are on the verge of splitting up, it was claimed last night.

The couple, who wed in 2010 and have a 23-month-old son, have decided to “take a break”, according to US celebrity magazine In Touch.

It said: “Right now, they’re separated and figuring out what they want to do next.”

Speculation comes after the Victoria’s Secret model has been seen out on a number of occasions without her wedding ring.

While Brit Orlando, 35, has been in South Africa filming his latest movie Zulu, his wife, 27, has been partying with Hollywood heart-throb Leonardo DiCaprio.

The New York Daily News reported that Aussie Miranda went to the Titanic star’s 38th birthday bash last month where they partied together until the early hours.

Also at the star-studded event were Cameron Diaz, Beyonce, Jay-Z and Robert De Niro. A witness claimed Miranda and DiCaprio were “very flirty with each other”.

A few days later the pair were seen with a group of friends at a restaurant and sat together during the meal, fuelling rumours.

A source told The Sun: “There’s a lot of talk about their relationship. Even though Orlando has been away working, there has been odd behaviour there.”

A spokesman for the couple denied there was trouble and said: “They’re the holidays together”.
