Sienna Miller turned down a Broadway role after learning that her salary was much lower than that of her male co-star.

The actress spoke to the October issue of Vogue and explained that it was her decision to “walk away” from the production.

“It was a play with just two of us on stage and I was offered less than half of what he was going to be paid. If it was two men, it wouldn’t probably happen. Sad, but I walked away”.

Hollywood starlet Sienna, who previously starred in Cabaret on the New York stage, decided not to name the play or the actor who was starring alongside her.

Chatting about her time in Cabaret, Sienna said she “peaked” at that time and described the experience “as the most incredible, fulfilling” role in her career to date.
