Singer Chris Brown Arrested for Assault

Singer Chris Brown has been arrested in Washington DC this morning for assault, after allegedly attacking a man. According to celebrity news site TMZ, Brown got into an altercation with a man outside W Hotel. He allegedly hurled a gay slur at the victim and punched him in the face. The incident is said to have taken place on 4.30am when a woman approached the singer for a photo. As the photo was being taken, two men hopped into the shot. Brown allegedly said, "I'm not into this gay s**t, I'm into boxing." Brown's bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, was also arrested. TMZ spoke to the alleged victim who told them that their nose was broken and may need surgery. The victim told them that he doesn't understand why Brown would be "so homophobic" to hurl such a slur. According to TMZ, the victim is expected to press charges. Brown is still on probation for his assault on Rihanna back in 2009. The singer is scheduled to appear before Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge James Brandlin on November 20^th for a probation status hearing.
