She revealed the news on Instagram over the weekend.
Solange Knowles and her husband Alan Ferguson have parted ways.
The performer took to social media to share the news with her fans, saying that they separated earlier this year and even though it is nobody’s business, she felt the need to let the world know.
She wrote: “I’ve also tried to carve out the space to protect my heart, and my life as it unfolds, evolves, and changes.

“11 years ago I met a phenomenal man who changed every existence of my life. Early this year we separated and parted ways, (and tho it ain’t nan no body business) I find it necessary to protect the sacredness of my personal truth and to live in it fully just as I have before and will continue to do (sic).”
She went on to say that while nobody is perfect, she is “leaning into the fear of the unknown and all the glory and power I know exist within god and the universes grace.”
Solange and Alan met in 2008 after being introduced by singer Janelle Monae. They married in New Orleans in 2014 and had a big family wedding with her sister Beyoncé acting as one of her bridesmaids.
