When Victoria Beckham shared a photo of the Spice Girls all reunited, we were ecstatic.
The were our childhood goddesses, our style queens, our feminist heroes and many other things in between.
However, rumours of a reunion have been swirling around in the media for years now, so we had to wonder why the five women picked this year for it to be theirs.
Well, Victoria Beckham has a pretty great reason, and it makes them reuniting even more significant.
The fashion designer told
The Mirror that it's all about girl power.
"The Time’s Up and #MeToo movements have shone a light on how powerful we can be when we work together to bring about change.
"The reunion is all about spreading that important message that women are worthy, and they are strong," she said.
"My career has always focused on empowering and celebrating women, so the momentum that these movements brought only makes me even more determined and passionate in my beliefs."
We CANNOT wait to see them back in action again.
