Suri Is Packing Her Bag For Catholic School In September

Katie Holmes has enrolled Suri in a New York Catholic school, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The paper said the actress is keen for Suri to get a Catholic education instead of the Scientology upbringing Tom Cruise wanted for his daughter.

The couple settled their divorce in record time this month.

Suri has been homeschooled in previous years but will start in the prestigious Convent of the Sacred Heart School on September 6.

The school boasts impressive alumni including Lady Gaga and Paris Hilton and reportedly costs $38,000 a year to attend.

Students in the school attend Mass every Thursday and the curriculum is very strict.  

Tom and Katie released a statement this month requesting privacy from the public:

"We want to keep matters affecting our family private and express our respect for each other's commitment to each of our respective beliefs and support each other's roles as parents."
