Suzanne Jackson has finally explained why we haven’t seen much of her online lately.
The blogger and beauty mogul has one of the biggest social media followings in Ireland but has been pretty quiet for a while now.
She returned to Instagram stories today to reveal that she needed to step back from the platform as she was feeling burnt out.
“So, you’re probably wondering where I’ve been for the past couple of months.
“Really and truly, I just took a break. I was trying to juggle a million and one things and I was just burning myself out, physically and mentally.
So, I said, ‘right ok, that’s it. I need to lull something, I need to stop something.’”
Sue told followers that she’d taken up reading and has found it helpful for switching off.
She also revealed that she has big plans for her tanning brand Dripping Gold, including an instant tan and a tan eraser.
It’s been a big year for Suzanne – she’s expanded her makeup range and was recently announced as a face of Victoria’s Secret.
She’s not the first Irish blogger to step back from social media lately.
Rosie Connolly announced last week that on the advice of her therapist, she’d be taking a ‘holiday’ from her apps.
“It’s not a massive deal at all, and majority of you wouldn’t even notice I was gone, but I think it’s healthy to build in scheduled time offline too!” she told followers.
