Most people put a message on Facebook or send around a text message but television presenter Charlotte Hawkins decided to announce her pregnancy live on television this morning.
The 38-year-old, who recently moved from Sky News to Good Morning Britain, told her co-hosts Susanna Reid, Ben Shephard and Sean Fletcher during today’s show.
She said: “I have some news. It’s quite nerve-wracking… because I’m pregnant, I’m happy to announce, I’m expecting a baby”.
Charlotte also tweeted: “I’m delighted to announce some breaking news of my own on @gmb this morning – I’m pregnant! Big thanks for all the lovely messages xx”.
The little one, due in February 2015, will be the first child for the presenter and her husband, businessman Mark Herbert. They tied the knot back in 2008.
