The Irish TV personality hosted the spin-off series Love Island USA: Aftersun in the US last summer, but won't be returning as the host for the current season.
Love Island Australia's Sophie Monk will take the reigns as the new host in the States.
However, a promo video on Instagram shows Maura warning the Ozzie star to 'not get too comfy', as she'll 'be back'.
Love Island USA captioned the post: "From one queen to another... for now. 😘"
According to the Sun, the Irish bombshell had a clashing of schedules.
It is believed that the 34-year-old could make an appearance on The Traitors USA.
It would be a savvy business move, as it will boost Maura's fame even further in the US.
A source said: “Maura is becoming a huge star across the pond and her slot on The Traitors is just part of that.
“The future is bright — and has stars and stripes.”
The Longford star quickly rose to fame when she made an appearance as a bombshell on the show back in 2019. She ended up taking fourth place alongside Curtis Pritchard.
The couple split up in March 2020.
As for Sophie Monk, the US television role will mark Monk's return to the market, after appearances in films like Date Movie and Click in the early noughties.
The 45-year-old TV host first shot to fame as a member of the girl band Bardot.
It will be a change of scenery for the Australian personality after hosting Love Island Australia across all six seasons.
