Third Time Lucky: Former Singer And Mum-Of-Four Engaged To Boyfriend Of Nine Months

She said “yes”! Kerry Katona is engaged to boyfriend George Kay.

The former rugby player proposed to Kerry at the top of Blackpool Tower, in front of her four kids.

Kerry said her children knew about George’s plan but kept it a secret. She said she’s a “bit overwhelmed” about it all.

Kerry’s daughter, Mollie, handed her mum the diamond and gold engagement ring when she cried yes.

"I'm thrilled but a bit overwhelmed by it all. I was totally in shock about it, ­especially as I knew nothing, but my girls knew what was going on,” Kerry told the Sunday Mirror.

"There were roses and champagne and George got down on one knee. It was the most romantic thing in the world. I am so happy.

"I knew something was going on but I had no idea what it was. I thought George was taking us out for a meal, but realised there was no-one else there in the section we were in.

"He got down on one knee and said I was his world and that me and the kids were his family and would I make him the happiest man in the world by ­marrying him?

"All the kids were screaming, 'Say yes, Mummy' and they were really ­excited. I feel like George and I are already married because we are so close.

“It feels so right and like we've been together forever but we are still in the honeymoon period. I have never had this ­before in a relationship. It feels so stable."

Kerry has been dating her former bodyguard for nine months. She has previously been married to singer Brian McFadden and taxi driver Mark Croft.

She is expected to walk down the aisle later this year.
