TikTok star Max Balegde has fuelled the rumours that there is a couple from this year’s Love Island is “faking” their relationship.

Claiming he met each member of the couple separately, Max said it was apparent that the two were in a PR relationship but did not want to disclose who it was.

Fans have now been led to believe that this only adds to the rumours that Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti have been faking their relationship since Love Island finished back in August.

The couple have been together since appearing on the show and have since moved in together, but over the last few months there has been a lot of speculation that they are “faking” it since.

Speaking on his new podcast The Useless Hotline, Max further speculated that the two are putting on an act when it comes to their romance.

During the episode, Max said: “There’s some relationships in the industry that are not real. And I’m talking there’s possibly one relationship specifically that’s very prominent in the UK media right now that I maybe happen to know is definitely not real.

“Some other people have alluded to this on some other medias. I don’t want to name and shame.

“I mean I met the person who’s in it and they were quite nice to me, but they definitely said something that would indicate they’re not in a relationship with said person.”

While it’s not clear exactly who he’s talking about, many fans jumped to the conclusion that it must be the Love Island winners.

The rumours first began in October when Paige Thorne claimed one of the remaining Love Island couples had secretly broken up since the show.

Speaking on the Saving Grace podcast, she was asked: “Who is the fakest couple to come out of Love Island this year?”

Paige replied: “All I’m going to say on this is… There are how many couples left, three? Really there’s only two. But that’s a secret I’ll never tell.”
