Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have been announced as the new Golden Globes hosts

The duo is back.

Ricky Gervais’ jokes at the Golden Globes this year proved to be very controversial. In his short but sweet opening dialogue, the comedian roasted and shocked most of the stars present at the event.

The 58-year-old went from talking about how nobody watches films anymore to mentioning all of what he called the “paedophile movies” of the year, including “Surviving R. Kelly”, “Leaving Neverland” and Netflix’s “The Two Popes”. This then led to a lot of awkward stares and actors feeling uncomfortable in their seats to which Ricky just kept repeating “I don’t care”.

He then stated that he in fact, never cared.

Well, he doesn’t have to *not* care anymore as Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have just been announced as the new hosts of the 2021 Golden Globes.

According to Associated Press, the pair will be back in action presenting next year’s awards show.

Lorenzo Soria, president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which runs the TV and movie awards said: “There’s no denying that Tina and Amy’s comedic chemistry is infectious.

“We can’t wait to see the dynamic duo return to the Golden Globes stage.”

Honestly, we can’t either.
