Uncanny or What? The Weirdest Celebrity Doppelgangers (Our Minds Are Blown!)

Um... so not to freak anyone out or anything, but we’re pretty sure Jay-Z is immortal. Seriously. An image from 1939 is doing the rounds on the internet and your mind will be blown when you see it.

This picture was taken by a man named Sid Grossman in Harlem back in the day and was found in the Schomburg Centre – a research unit of the New York Public Library. Just have a look at it:

Doesn’t he look like Jay-Z?! The weird part? Jay-Z was born in 1969, 30 years after the above picture was taken. Creepy right?

And it turns out that Jay-Z isn’t the only celeb who has a historical doppelganger. Have a look at these ones...

Nicholas Cage and a Civil War Doppelganger:

Back in 2011 this picture of a man who bares a striking resemblance to Nicolas Cage surfaced on eBay. The man’s name is unknown but according to reports he lived in Bristol, Tennessee during the Civil War.

Keanu Reeves and Paul Mounet:

Paul Mounet was a noted french actor and painter who lived back in the 18th century. Keanu Reeves is an actor who is still alive and who looks exactly like Paul Mounet. Creepy, huh?

Mark Zuckerberg and King Philip IV of Spain:

One ruled a country, the other is currently ruling the world via the medium of Facebook. Try and guess which one is which...

Alec Baldwin and Millard Filmore:

Millard Filmore lived during the 18th century and was the 13th President of the United States of America. He looks freakishly like Alec Baldwin...

John Travolta and a random man from the 18th century:

This picture of John Travolta has been doing the rounds online for years. Believed to be from 1860, it surfaced on Ebay along with the description: “For those of you who do not know, believe in reincarnation. This can only mean two things. John Travolta lived, died and was reborn. Or a time traveller.”

Maggie Gyllenhaal and Rose Wilder Lant:

Rose Wilder Lant was an American journalist, novelist and political theorist. She is also one of the founding members of the American libertarian movement. She looks oddly like Jake Gyllenhaal’s sister Maggie.

Jack Black and an unknown actor:

Jack Black is the spitting image of the lead male actor from the classic opera “The Barber of Seville.”

Anthony Hopkins and Socrates:

Socrates is one of the best known classical Greek philosophers who wandered around Athens musing on life back in 469BC. As far as we know, Anthony Hopkins was born in 1937 (or this could be a lie. He does look suspiciously like Socrates in fairness...)
