Vogue Williams details receiving ‘nasty’ messages about her body at the beach

“Today I cried about my body.”

Vogue Williams has detailed receiving “nasty” messages about her body.

Alongside a series of paparazzi shots of herself at the beach, the TV personality and model said that she had been contacted by numerous people regarding the “cellulite on the back of my legs.”

“Today I cried about my body, something I haven’t done in quite some time because I had gotten to a point where I was happy with myself,” she wrote.

“These pictures were taken when we were at the beach, you can’t stop paps but I get it comes with what we do.

“What I can’t stand is the hundreds of people commenting and even mailing me about the pictures that show cellulite on the back of my legs.”

Vogue added that generally, she doesn’t let instances such as the above get to her, but the comments she had received were particularly harsh, or – as she put it – “nasty.”

“I allowed it to really get to me,” she said. “For a second I forgot how body positive I am, how happy I am in general and stupidly I allowed this to upset me.”

“I just think that commenting on anyone’s body or appearance is so pointless and low. We are all different, none of us are flawless but that is what actually makes us flawless.”

Vogue added that at the end of the day, she’s back to loving her body, “cellulite and all” – and that we should all be a bit kinder to each other in the future.

A lesson worth learning, tbf.
