Wait, what? Turns out Chloe Grace Moretz worked as a waitress in Dublin

'It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done.'

“People were not happy with their meals.”

Chloe Grace Moretz has been in the movie business for most of her life, so you might not have expected her to have grafted as a waitress.

It turns out thats she actually has waited tables in her time – and in Dublin, of all places.

The actress plays a waitress in her new film Greta, directed by Sligo native Neil Jordan.

She wanted to get some real-life experience and so got a job at a restaurant in the capital.

Chloe had two “terrifying” days of training before she was put on the floor to serve.

“It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I’m not kidding,” she told US chat show host Jimmy Kimmel this week.

“I cannot write shorthand. I tried to upsell the specials.

“I’m like, ‘And would you like macaroni and cheese with your steak?’ No one wants it.

“They’re mad because the food’s cold and they had a gluten allergy that they didn’t tell me about, but somehow it’s my fault.

“People were not happy with their meals. And I was like, ‘I’m so sorry’.”

Still, she got to keep the tips so it could be worse.

Greta, a thriller co-starring Isabelle Huppert, is in cinemas now.
