West Wing Actor to be Honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award at Dubai Film Festival

Actor Martin Sheen is to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Dubai International Film Festival. "I am truly honoured to accept the Dubai International Film Festival's 'Lifetime Achievement Award' and [I'm] looking forward to celebrating the region's gifted cinematic storytellers" said Sheen. This will be the 10^th year that the festival will be on the go and Sheen will be awarded the event’s highest accolade. Over the years Sheen has earned many awards including a Golden Globe for his portrayal as The President in The West Wing back in 2001. The celebrated actor will also be taking part in a Q&A session at the festival. Previous winners of the award include Morgan Freeman and Sean Penn. The festival runs from December 6 - 14.
