He's fronted one of the biggest pop bands on their world tours and is currently coaching singing hopefuls on The Voice - but Will.i.am has admitted he still suffers from anxiety and stage fright.
In an interview with BBC presenter Nick Grimshaw, the Heartbreaker singer said:
"I get so nervous, I have to hold my nerves in, but sometimes my nerves come out in solid form or more liquid form. I'm sorry, I'm just letting off some nerves; that was the gas version."
The music producer has said he uses 'minfulness' to overcome his anxiety, and tries to live in his present to distract him from the task ahead.
The Scream & Shout star revealed that he can be serious when he needs to be to "make things happen", and tries not to let the pressure of appearing live on stage affect his coaching skills to his contestants on The Voice:
"I know in a couple of moments it's going to be stressful... so let me just enjoy myself as much as I can."
Ah, bless. With all those facial expressions, we never would've known.
