This reform was introduced by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in order to improve the country's economy.
Sound lad.
In June of 2018, women were officially granted the right to drive in Saudi Arabia, following years of protests.
Also, last year women in Saudi were granted the right to attend football matches.
And sure, that all seems and sounds great, but women are still marginalised in the nation.
In fact, women still need to get a man's permission to do a number of day-to-day tasks.
Applying for passports, Travelling abroad, getting married, opening a bank account and getting elective surgery all require a man's permission.
