Adele won BIG at the Grammy Awards last night taking home five awards in total.
However, the singer wasn’t able for so much attention and almost refused to accept the award for Album of the Year, saying that Beyoncé should have been the one to get it for Lemonade.
She even broke the Grammy in half, as you can see in the video below.

Addressing part of her speech to Beyoncé who was seated in the front row, Adele gushed about the singer’s amazing talent:
“My queen and my idol is Queen B. I adore you
“I can’t possibly accept this award, and I’m very humble and very grateful. But my artist of my life is Beyonce. This album for me, the Lemonade album, was so monumental”.
Adele also won awards for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album.
Later on in the night, Adele asked to start again during her performance of George Michael’s Fast Love as it was so important she get it right.
“I’m sorry. I know it’s live TV. I can’t mess this up for him (Michael)”.
Awh Adele, we love you!
