Ronan is said to be “buzzing” for his son, who is about to join the show.

Last night’s Love Island introduced us to the boys who would be entering Casa Amor, and viewers were delighted to see that the son of Irish singer Ronan Keating was among them.

23-year-old Jack Keating is set to turn heads after being single for the past four or five years.

Admitting that he hasn’t found “that spark” on the dating scene, Jack said that he hopes he’ll find a connection in the villa.

Describing himself as a “positive, fun guy”, the social media manager hopes to bring some energy, as well as his Irish charm to the villa.

When asked what makes him a good boyfriend, Jack said: “I’m definitely loyal, my loyalties are obviously with the girl I’m with. I’ve never cheated on anyone. I’m very compassionate, I’m not afraid to tell a girl how I feel – I wear my heart on my sleeve a lot of the time.”

Jack has also said that he’s not afraid to break up a couple if he needs to, and he’s admitted that he’s “very competitive”.

“It won’t be the most ideal thing,” he said. “But I’ve got to do what’s best for me.”

In terms of what gives him the ick, Jack said that he wouldn’t date someone if they’re not close with their family, or if they have trust issues.

“I’m a very trustworthy person, so I hope that whoever I’m with as well would be the same.”

As for how his dad Ronan feels, Jack has said that he will definitely be tuning in.

“He’s buzzing for me,” Jack said. “Me and my dad are very close, we’re best mates.”

Love Island continues tomorrow night at 9pm on Virgin Media Two and on the Virgin Media Player.
