Devastating.

YouTube star Adalia Rose Williams has sadly passed away at the age of only 15.

Williams had always been open with her fans about her life with a rare genetic disease after she was diagnosed as a baby with Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome.

The disease is often known as the “Benjamin Button” disease and according to her Facebook page, the YouTuber died on Wednesday evening.

“She came into [life] quietly and left quietly, but her life was far from it,” read the heartbreaking post.

“She is no longer in pain and is now dancing away to all the music she loves.”

Her family went on to thank Adalia’s fans that “love and supported her” and requested some privacy as they mourn their loss.

Many fans flooded the comments to show their love and support, telling of how much of an inspiration she was.

“I loved her so much,” one follower from India said. “She has been an inspiration to many and has touched millions of lives.”

“What a beautiful bright light she was and will continue to be through all the lives she touched,” wrote another fan.

“She taught us how to live without limitations,” said a third.

Her Instagram account that had garnered 380,000 followers also shared the heartbreaking post announcing her passing, which came only three weeks after she had lost her hearing.

Not only popular on YouTube, Adalia posted across all forms of social media, documenting her life and showing show she navigated the world despite dealing with progeria, a chronic, progressive condition.

The syndrome does not have a cure and causes rapid ageing, slowed growth and hair loss.

There are currently around 400 children worldwide living with the disease, according to the Progeria Research Foundation.
