Zendaya has opened up about the real reason she tries to keep her relationship with Tom Holland a secret.
The Dune actress was first rumoured to be dating her Spider-Man co-star back in 2017 and it wasn't until 2021 that the two seemingly confirmed they were an item after they were spotted kissing in Tom's car.
Now, the two have been slightly more open about their relationship, posing together on red carpets and Tom speaking more openly about his girlfriend, but never names Zendaya directly.
Speaking in an interview for Elle's September cover, the Euphoria star gave some new insight into their relationship – specifically about why they are so private.
The 26-year-old said: "Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public. I can’t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But also, I do have control over what I choose to share.

Zendaya's comments come after rumours have been circulating that the couple have secretly gotten engaged.
In May, Zendaya was pictured with a fan and could be seen hiding her left hand in her pocket.
Reacting to the viral photo, one person tweeted: "Oh they’re getting married.”
Another said: "okay they getting a lil too adamant about covering their left hands.”
A third wrote: "when was the last time we saw their left hands?"
