A Bridgerton-themed ball is coming to London this year

Sarah McKenna Barry

Tickets for the SecretCinema event go on sale next week.

When Bridgerton hit our screens last Christmas, we all fell utterly in love with it. With stunning gowns, scandalous story-lines and intriguing characters, the Netflix drama had us hooked from the get-go.

Given the show’s huge success, it was only a matter of time before an immersive Bridgerton-themed event became a possibility.

Indeed, later this year, fans of the show will be able to live their best Daphne Bridgerton fantasy at a ball in London.

The event is the brainchild of SecretCinema, who are known for their curation of immersive experiences. In the past, the company’s put on events inspired by Moulin Rouge!, Stranger Things and Romeo + Juliet.

SecretCinema will be collaborating with Shondaland and Netflix directly, so you can guarantee that this will be as authentic an experience as possible.

So, what can fans expect from the Bridgerton-themed ball?

Well, right now, as per SecretCinema tradition, the event location is being kept under wraps. We do know, however, that there will be several showings of the event in London throughout the week starting 10 November.

The experience runs as a “choose your own adventure” affair. Guests will select their own title on entry into this Bridgerton themed-ball, and can choose to start their night either on the dancefloor, or in one of the adjoining rooms.

As well as dancing, guests can learn a number of Regency-era skills, including card-playing, life-drawing and boxing.

In true Bridgerton fashion, a string quartet playing re-arranged pop songs will provide the evening’s soundtrack. On top of that, a light show will project images from the TV show, allowing guests to mix and mingle with the iconic characters of the series.

If you’re keen to attend, you’ll need to act quick, as this one is bound to sell out. Tickets for the event go on sale on Tuesday 6 July at 10am, and the wait list is already open.

Prices start at £39.
