Blind Date is making a comeback and wait until you hear the rumoured presenters

No one will ever replace Cilla Black.

“And here’s our Graham”.

Blind Date was a regular occurrence in my Nana’s house every Saturday evening and so the nostalgia is strong for this particular programme.

Although no one will do the show’s original presenter, Cilla Black, and her legendary catchphrases justice, the show is reportedly making a comeback nonetheless.

According to The Sun, it will return before the end of the year and in a major shake-up, Channel 5 will air the new Blind Date, not ITV.

There’s a number of famous faces in the running to front the show including Vicky Pattison, Olly Murs, Scarlett Moffatt and Helen Flanagan.

A source told the publication that it won’t be Blind Date as we know it either with the traditional format getting a brand new makeover.

The insider explained:

Blind Date is the original dating show and it’s huge news to bring it back.

“It’s a classic format that will be rebooted to make it young, sexy and modern. Expect sparks to fly.

“In an age of Tinder, you have got to earn the right to love on this show”.

Let’s just hope that despite the significant changes, producers ensure the show has “lorra lorra laughs”.
