The nominations for the Golden Globe awards 2015 have been revealed today.
Early nominations included Alan Cumming from The Good Wife and Joanne Froggatt of Downton Abbey. Nominations for best animated film include How to Train Your Dragon 2, Big Hero 6 and The Lego movie.
Meanwhile hit TV drama The Missing is up for the award of Best Television Movie or Limited Series along with True Detective, Fargo, The Normal Heart and Olive Kitteridge.
Girls and Orange is the New Black are two of the front runners for Best Television Comedy series. Meanwhile, Helen Mirren joins Emily Blunt in the race for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy. Felicity Jones from The Theory of Everything is up for Actress in A Drama along with Gone Girl’s Rosamund Pike.
Meanwhile, Benedict Cumberbatch is one of the Best Actor in a Drama nominees for his role in The Imitation Game with Keira Knightley also getting a nod for Best Supporting Actress.
Birdman has scooped seven nominations while Boyhood and The Imitation Game have five each.
The awards were announced at the Beverly Hilton Hotel by a number of stars including Kate Beckinsale and Jeremy Piven.
The 72nd Golden Globes will be held on January 11th, 2015, and will be once more hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
