Congratulations are in order for Coronation Street actress Jennie McAlpine who has given birth to her second child.
Jennie took to Twitter last night to reveal that she and husband Chris Farr had welcomed a little girl earlier this week, saying:
“Our newest addition arrived yesterday. Mummy and Daddy are very happy.
“Big brother very proud of his little sister, Hilda.
“We’re all in love.”

Yes, the pair chose to name the new addition to their family Hilda, an incredibly traditional name.
However, Jennie and Chris clearly have a fondness for classic names, choosing to name their three-year-old son Albert.

Jennie revealed she was pregnant shortly after finishing up her stint on I’m A Celeb last year.
“We’ve got a bit of news,” she said on Twitter. “Our baby boy is going to be a big brother later this year.
“We can’t wait to meet you, precious one.”
